Benfica managed to silence the Zenit St. Petersburg 2-0 in the second leg of the Champions League final perdelapan, Tuesday (06/03/2012). With this result, Benfica automatically advanced to the quarter-finals after winning 4-3 on aggregate.
Bagging a 3-2 victory in the first leg, Zenit really only need a goalless draw in this match to secure a ticket to the quarter-finals. However, it is not easy for Benfica gave fierce resistance since the early minutes.
Benfica came close to winning first through Axel Witsel hard kick in the fifth minute. Unfortunately, the business can still be defeated by Zenit goalkeeper, Vyacheslav Malafeev.
