England midfielder who plays for Bolton Wanderers, Fabrice Muamba, finally decided to hang up his boots on the advice of prominent doctors who see the development of heart condition.
Although heavy, Muamba accept the decision of the doctor gracefully. He also must be willing to leave the world who has made his name since 2005.
"Last week, I visited a famous doctor in Belgium to find his advice. But the answer I received was not what I expected. I have to announce retirement from football," he said as quoted by the Guardian. "This is bad news for me, but I must be thankful. I thank God that I can still live," he said.
"I also want to thank everyone who has supported my career. Do not forget, I am grateful to the fans of Bolton Wanderers is quite remarkable," continued the former 24-year-old players.
However, Muamba was quite happy to enjoy a wonderful career kicked the skin round. "I played football all my life and get plenty of opportunities. Top it all, I love football and feel lucky to be playing at the highest level," said Muamba.
